ELECTROTYPES. PERSIA, Achaemenid Empire. Time of Artaxerxes III to Darios III, circa 350-333 BC. 'Tetradrachm' (Copper-Nickel, 21 mm, 11.60 g, 12 h), British Museum electrotype by Robert Ready or his sons (signed R on the edge). Bearded head (of Tissaphernes?) to right, wearing satrapal headdress. Rev. B-A-ΣI-Λ Kithara. Cf. GPCG pl. 19, 41 (for protoype). Nicely toned. Good very fine.
